The Canada House Cinema Club

Since its inception five years ago, the Canada House Cinema Club has been providing a platform for Canadian feature and short films to be screened in the UK at the Canada House Cinema. The organization has been active in promoting the work of Canadian artists and filmmakers to London audiences as well as the work of Canadian filmmakers working in the UK. In 2006, the Cinema Club presented several Canadian films which have won accolades at high-profile events such as the Academy Awards, The Cork International Film Festival, the International Animation Festival, the Genie Awards, Sundance, NFSC Awards and CSC Awards, among others.

2006 marked the 31st anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival®. As always the festival remains committed to supporting Canadian filmmakers and showcasing the best in global film for its audiences.

 

 

Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent)

Bravo!FACT has distributed millions of dollars in grants for the production of hundreds of shorts across Canada. Short films and videos produced with Bravo!FACT grants have been honoured with awards and screenings at festivals around the world including the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance, the Canadian Film Centre's World Wide International Short Film Festival, and other prestigious festivals in NYC, Prague, and Italy. Bravo!FACT shorts were featured in the 2006 programme and cover a range of subject matter and styles. Sand animation to opera; modern dance to short dramas - the variety is endless as is, seemingly, the creative talent in Canada.

Quiet Revolution Pictures is a boutique feature film development, production and co production company operating in Canada and the United Kingdom with a focus on Euro-Canadian partnerships. In addition to the development of our own slate of independent genre feature films, the company offers a wide array of story editor, script consultation and development services.

Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds and professions, and are themselves another incredible resource for advice. Further, we allow our members to tap into a network of professional advisors across England and Europe by hosting a variety of educational seminars. Since inception in 1999, Network Canada's membership has grown to over 850 members, making it Europe's largest and fastest growing association of expatriate Canadians. Throughout the year, we organize dozens of events ranging from brunches to balls and from pub nights to polo.
